Tulip Albert Heijn (fosteriana)
This fabulous tulip which has thrived on our dry rock garden for many years is known as "the supermarket tulip" as we could not remember its name. It is named after the owner of the largest Dutch supermarket chain. The salmon pink flowers have a blue bloom to the outer petals. Early, not too tall and long lasting in flower. They can also be grown in containers.
Plant the bulbs at least 15cm deep in late autumn in a well drained soil in full sun. Summer dormant.Height : 14"
Flowers: March
