Chionodoxa

Chionodoxa grow well in a sunny position with good drainage. Excellent around base of small trees where they will spread to form a carpet. Fabulous under a white magnolia.

    Chionodoxa Forbesii.

    Glory of the Snow.  This is one of the very best early spring bulbs for a massed display. It had dainty spikes of vivid blue flowers with a pale centre. Excellent massed around the base of a tree, especially if it is a white magnolia!.

    Chionodoxa Forbesii 'Pink Giant'.

    This is the giant of the genus with tall spikes of large flowers. They are a delicate pink with white centres. They form large, long lasting and long lived clumps. Plant the bulbs in the autumn. Summer dormant.

Broadleigh Display Gardens

Over the past 30 years, the 5 acre gardens and nursery at Broadleigh Gardens have become a well established major attraction for our customers. Described by one visitor as a wonderful secret garden.

The gardens are open Monday – Friday 9am to 4pm for a £2.50 charity donation

(all proceeds go to St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice).
