Fritillaria meleagris Mixed Naturalising
The well known snake’s head fritillary is ideal to naturalise in any soil that is not too dry, in sun or part shade. It will grow in grass where it will seed around to form large colonies in time. The nodding purple or white flowers are heavily chequered. Plant the bulbs in the autumn. Summer dormant.
