- Description
Iris reticulata Katharine Hodgkin
Fabulous creamy flowers overlaid with a blend of light yellow and greeny-blue. Has to be seen to be believed. Very easy and perennial but keep the slugs away as the buds can appear early in the winter, waiting for the right moment to burst into flower. These winter flowering iris appear as the snowdrops fade. They are small enough for a rock garden or they can be grown under trees. They also make excellent pot plants but do not force them if they are wanted for indoors. Wait until the buds are showing before bringing them into the house. The bulbs are planted in the autumn, summer dormant.
