Tulip Ice Stick (kaufmanniana)
This superb new hybrid between T.kaufmaniana & T.clusiana has tall very elegant cream flowers with a bronzed exterior. It is early flowering and excellent in pots. Although registered as a kaufmaniana on account of its early flowering it more closely resembles the clusiana types. It has a most unexpected bonus of dramatic long lasting seed heads - hence its name. Also see Pot Collection No 1. Plant the bulbs in late autumn at least 6" deep in well drained soil in full sun.
